The story behind her choice of brokerage
Born and raised in the Zaan region, Nienke has lived in almost every village within Zaanstad. The region feels like home and she knows the area like no other. Besides her work, she has a great love for dance, theater and music. Interior design and interior design also appeal to her enormously. The combination of creativity and real estate made brokerage a logical choice for her.
Looking for a job in this industry, VLIEG came her way, a perfect fit for her training as an assistant real estate agent. VLIEG offered her the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop herself further. Meanwhile she is the first point of contact at the Zaanstad office, supports broker Carel Bos and makes sure that potential customers feel welcome at VLIEG.
How her interest in brokerage began
An interest in real estate developed at an early age. As a child, Nienke knew she didn’t want to sit behind a desk all day. She wanted to be busy, take on challenges and be in contact with people. The combination of real estate, client contact and the dynamics of the profession immediately appealed to her.
Her ambition is to further develop herself and eventually become an NVM broker. In this industry she sees endless possibilities and no day is the same.
What her role means for VLIEG
As an inside sales representative, Nienke is the first point of contact for customers, both by phone and in the office. She welcomes them with a warm welcome and ensures that everyone is well served. Customer satisfaction comes first for her.
She also supports real estate agent Carel Bos in various activities. She draws up purchase agreements, prepares house presentations and manages important documents. She also ensures that the agenda is kept up to date so that appointments run smoothly. Her tasks go further than just support; she spots opportunities, advises clients and actively helps to bring in new clients.
The work is varied and challenging. The responsibility is great, as it often involves the biggest purchase or sale in someone’s life. Her goal is to make this process as smooth and orderly as possible.
Her ambition is to become an NVM broker and further grow VLIEG Zaanstad. By advising clients optimally and taking advantage of opportunities, she contributes to the success of the office.
For what qualities is Nienke known?
Nienke is known for her spontaneity, organized approach and independence. Colleagues regularly comment that she brings peace and order to the hectic world of brokerage. Brokers can sometimes become chaotic in their enthusiasm. She takes over that energy, but at the same time ensures that everything remains structured.
She regularly receives compliments on her approach and positive attitude. This gives her energy and motivates her to make the selling and buying process as smooth as possible.
What makes Nienke happy?
Nienke gets happiness from making others happy and achieving great results. A successful sale and a satisfied customer give her an enormous boost. When she gets to call someone with good news about a successful deal and hears the joy on the other end, she knows again why she likes this job so much.
A good conversation with clients, working together to find a solution, also makes her day. Outside of work, she enjoys little things like a long walk, time with friends or relaxing with music in the background.

Nienke is still at the beginning of her career in brokerage, so her biggest success story has yet to be written. However, she is proud of her quick adaptability and positive attitude. Thanks to these qualities, she has developed herself within a short time in a challenging and dynamic industry.
