The story behind Omar Nederlof
Three and a half years ago Omar started his adventure at VLIEG.
Omar has always been interested in real estate, he even had the subject real estate during his HBO education, in addition, Omar has always lived in a house for sale and he found everything involved in this very interesting.
Before joining VLIEG, Omar worked as a manager at another company.
He was approached by VLIEG at the time and then quickly started working at VLIEG.
The funny thing is that he found out that there was a VLIEG office opposite his old job.
Coincidence or not?
Once he started at VLIEG, Omar was quickly trained as an all-around mortgage consultant.
He was thrown right into the deep end with complex cases on his first two assignments to learn the business right away.
Consequently, it gave him immediate confidence because things had gone well.
What does Omar mean to VLIEG?
Omar has now been with VLIEG for three and a half years and has become an indispensable member of the VLIEG team.
Omar deals with all the financial issues involved in a mortgage.
This includes issues such as: business income, deductibles, income risks and divorces.
Omar’s goal is always to realize the best possible product given the client’s situation.
Think of making a purchase wish possible or ensuring that someone can still get a mortgage for a renovation or purchase, which may not have seemed possible at first.
A ‘no’ from the bank is never simply accepted by Omar.
In short, Omar sits next to the client to enable the desired outcome for each client.
For what qualities is Omar known?
Omar has many qualities, but what he really excels at is explaining difficult material.
He does this by always keeping it as simple as possible.
Mortgage matters can be very complex, but Omar always knows how to explain them in a way that every customer understands.
This is what makes Omar happy
Omar gets a lot of satisfaction from his profession, so he becomes happy when he makes something possible for a customer that at first seemed impossible.
What he likes about this is that he can make the customer’s living wish come true, of which the customer will be happy for years to come.
When Omar is not at work, he likes to spend his time on padel court or going out on the water with his boat, but what also makes him very happy is enjoying the sunshine and barbecuing.
When the weather doesn’t allow him to enjoy the outdoors he also doesn’t mind watching Formula 1 from the couch.
What is Omar's greatest success story?
Omar has several successes that he is proud of, for example, helping his first client was a special moment. In fact, when he just started at fly he was immediately thrown in deep, in this he had a job that involved a divorce. The woman wanted to continue living in the house, and she eventually succeeded. This would always stay with Omar because it was his first client and the client’s wish came true.
Another great moment in Omar’s career was when a low-income woman came in who was struggling to make ends meet. Her house was in danger of having to be sold because she could not get a mortgage for the necessary renovation. In the end, Omar managed to get the monthly expenses halved and even the renovation could be realized.
