The story behind Floor
Floor started working at VLIEG brokers in Amsterdam over 4 years ago.
This was a new step in her career and also a big career switch for Floor.
After all, she had just finished her high hotel school when corona came around the corner in 2020.
Because of the pandemic, there was no short-term job prospect in the hospitality industry.
Through her network, she ended up at VLIEG.
Here she started as a commercial office assistant, which soon went well, allowing her to become office manager.
While she was office manager she also started her real estate training.
She flew through the training and has been an indispensable broker at VLIEG for several years now.
Floor now focuses primarily on helping people buy homes, but sales and rentals also come up regularly.

What is your greatest success story?
Floor has several success stories, for example, she had a purchase interview with a client who lived in a rental property in Amsterdam and whose contract expired in a few months.
The client wanted to buy a house in Amsterdam within that period.
In the conversation, Floor explained that buying a house in Amsterdam within a month could be difficult and that they could not take the risk of him being out on the street.
They decided together that he should have a temporary rental property until they could purchase a home.
Floor always keeps an eye on homes in her neighborhood and saw a rental house for a attractive price.
The same afternoon the client visited, Floor called the client that she had found a house that was terminable on a monthly basis.
The next day she and the client visited the rental house and two days later it was settled.
In the meantime, she had also managed to buy a house for the client so the client was super happy about this.
Another moment was when a good friend of Floor’s was looking for a house in Amsterdam.
Her friend lives alone, so realizing a house for sale in Amsterdam can already be very difficult, yet they found a nice apartment.
They were allowed to make a one-time best proposal, with this proposal they sent a personal letter to the occupant.
This impressed the seller, who had lived there for 20 years.
Her friend was allowed to buy the property and Floor was allowed to share the good news.
The first bid for her friend and immediately hit, a great moment in her career.

Tegelijkertijd zijn we met Esther Mostertman van VLIEG in gesprek gegaan om onze woonwensen te bespreken.
